It started with a couple of us, chiefly my oldest son and I. We barbacked a Hard Summer festival out at the Fontana Speedway. Then we started adding more members. Nephews, my middle son, and a host of their friends. Before long we were known as Team Randall. I think it was Elvis Luciano who gave us the name. He owns and operates the Long Beach Bartending School. He also staffed events through Event Aces, and there would not have been a Team Randall without him.
I was that guy. The annoying guy who was always hounding staffing companies to make sure that my whole team was working. I also actively recruited right after “lock down” as staffing was bleak. I can report that it has all the charm of herding cats. I was the point of contact for scheduling issues, payroll errors, and a host of other issues. I feel for anyone who does that job full time. It’s a lot of work.
